Creative Design: Why Do Businesses Undervalue its Power?

When businesses look at their assets, do they include creative design, or is it something they see as an add-on, if, or when, they can afford it?

In fact, design is a business essential, a major asset, integral to growth, stability and success. This is because design shapes people’s perception of a business, and what its brand represents.

In a 2007 report, the Design Council highlighted the link between design and better business performance, based on a national survey of firms. One conclusion was that businesses that saw design as integral do not need to compete on price as much as others.
